The End of America in 2007?

Here we go again…..You’ll remember the monster tsunami that occurred last December 26th, the result of an earthquake off Indonesia.

It wasn’t long after that tsunami the finger of blame began to be pointed. America was blamed for causing all that death and destruction by some in the Muslim world. America and the Christians celebrated Christmas and New Years to the point that it ticked off Allah. The logical thing happened consequently, Allah displayed his anger and destroyed thousands of Muslims and their homes…

Seems Allah isn’t very fond of Easter either. As America was packing sandwiches for their lunch of left over Easter ham, Allah shook Indonesia again. This time, no killer tsunami, that surprised the tsunami experts. You can read more about their surprise in this Associated Press
article that was posted on the Netscape News Here

The real reason for my writing was this nugget that appeared in the Jerusalem Post. Seems that according to at least one Koran scholar, Allah is just practicing his tsunami tricks. Allah is getting ready for the “Big One”; he plans to destroy America in 2007. Ziad Silwadi, a Palestinian scholar, recently gleaned this information from the Koran. How this news was missed all these years is anyone’s guess. Perhaps the Islamic terrorists should all go home and wait for the big wave to do away with the U.S.A.

Anyway, I know you’re itching to read the results of Ziad Silwadi’s research. The article written by Khaled Abu Toameh titled “Koran scholar: US will cease to exist in 2007” can be read Here.

Thanks to the AP, The Jerusalem Post and Khaled Abu Toameh

I don’t spend much time reading the Koran; I don’t have any confidence in its author. I also don’t intend to curtail my celebration of Christian holidays either, even at the risk of ticking off Allah again..

I’m sticking with my Savior, Jesus Christ and the Word of God, the Bible.. don’t think I’ll be buying any water wings anytime soon either.

The Deal of Your Lifetime

For the love of you…a deal was struck, an incomprehensible price was paid. *

Now…there’s no doubting His love.

But for you… the question remains, how much do you love you?

You decide…you can make the decision here.

The Tomb is Empty!
Jesus is Lord!

God bless you,

*John 3:16-18“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.”

Techno-Fluff and Ice Cream

In these days of the megachurch, the “purpose driven whatever” and the thumping of a multimedia experience, do you ever wonder what’s next?

I used to think of myself as a fairly hip old coot, but boys, I’m losing ground fast.

The Church in America has cycled through many stages and phases to get where it is today. The goal of the Church is the fulfillment of the Great Commission, to share the Good News with the lost and to disciple believers. That sounds simple on its face, but it’s not….

From the New International Version;

Matthew 28: 18-20

“18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."”

Then again, perhaps we have overcomplicated a simple message. What does it take to fill a church in America today? At one time, all that was needed was prayer, Holy Spirit empowered preaching of the Word of God and fellowship with the church family.

Armed with the truth, all that the disciples needed was provided them on the Day of Pentecost, all the power, the boldness and gifts of the Spirit.

Acts 1:8
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Do we need more?

What has brought us to the place that we believe it takes more than Holy Spirit power, prayer, God’s Word and fellowship? People are looking for the truth and they’re looking for people to care about them. The world can provide everything else.

During the late 70’s and early 80’s, I was doing one of several stints as a Sunday School superintendent. It was in the days of attendance building contests and stunts. Someone shared a few words of wisdom with me; I never forgot those words. “ If you win them with ice cream, you’ll have to keep them with ice cream.”

At what point do we stop pumping up the volume? How much “techno-fluff” will it take until there’s no real discernable difference between many of the American churches and the street?

Do we dare abandon the slick entertainment and hype?

The underground church in China is growing at a phenomenal rate despite aggressive persecution by the state. People are not being won to Christ with ice cream in China. The “Christian Book of the Month Club” offers the same book every month in China; it’s the Bible, for those blessed enough to possess it. Yet, the Church grows at its most basic level, the house church. The people are learning discipleship and near complete dependence upon the Lord.

Perhaps the comfort and excess levels we find in many American Churches are hindering us. It may be time to act less like the world and return to the basics.

What else might we do with all that excess time, money and energy if we returned to the fundamentals?

Please take the time to read this incredible story that was posted on the ASSIST News Service Saturday March 19th.

The article was written by Dan Wooding, Founder of ASSIST Ministries.

Are we squandering the Lords blessings and abusing His grace?

Axis of Evil

You may remember President Bush’s State of the Union speech in January 2002. He had the nerve to use the phrase “Axis of Evil.” The President was referring to Iran, Iraq and North Korea.. .

Oh, did they howl!

The left didn’t like it at all…. Here are a couple of prime examples one from Slate by Robert Wright, "The Axis of Incoherence" the other from the BBC News on line "Bush's 'evil axis' comment stirs critics" published in February of 02. It seems there was a little evil going on in those places, (as if it were a secret before Bush pointed it out).

Now it’s so hard to give George W. any credit for the good that is taking place in the Middle East, as freedom springs forth. The truth is the President has nailed it. He gave another speech today (3/8/05) in which he commented that the antidote to terror is freedom. Here is what Jim VandeHei of the Washington Post wrote about it in an article entitled “Bush Calls Democracy Terror's Antidote.”

The history books will note President Bush’s correct observations in days to come.

The thing that sparked this post mentioning the Axis of Evil was the report that appeared today at Open Doors.Org. Every year Open Doors International reports on worldwide Christian persecution. Open Doors rank by country the places where Christians are persecuted the most. The article can be found here, the top story is titled “North Korea Retains No. 1 Persecution Ranking In World.”

Is there a connection between persecution and evil?

It’s time the world took a very close look at the list of the top 50 countries persecuting Christians.. For more on what’s happening to Christians in North Korea click on this link to the Chosun Journal. It is a good website to bookmark.

God blesses us Americans beyond our ability to comprehend. How can we remain silent when our Brothers and Sisters in Christ are paying such a price?

We’re Not Buying It China

China is outraged!! How dare the American government speak of the human rights record of China?

“Despite tons of problems in its own human rights, the United States continues to stick to its belligerent stance, wantonly trample on the sovereignty of other countries, and constantly stage tragedies of human rights infringement in the world, said the report.

At last, the report said that the United States should reflect on its erroneous behavior on human rights and take its own human rights problems seriously instead of indulging itself in publishing the "human rights country report" to censure other countries unreasonably”

Here’s their complete report and complaint: China View

Hmmmmm…does anyone remember a place called Tiananmen Square?

A little episode took place June 3-4, 1989 in Beijing. Seems that the human rights loving Chinese communist government murdered 5000 or so of their own people. Most that were slaughtered that fateful night were students.. What was their crime? They wanted a little freedom, a little democracy… They wanted the same things the Eastern Europeans were beginning to get.
Please take a minute to follow these links, this is information you need to know… China: Human Rights & the Democracy Movement and this, if you don’t get the picture Victims of Tiananmen Massacre

The government in Beijing rails hard on the USA…I’d guess they could find some in the ACLU and other radical left fringers here in America that would agree with them. It’s that hate America first thing…
America does have problems; it would be silly and dishonest to say other wise.. We want to be honest here at Fundamentally Right, so you’ll get truth as best we know it..

Anyway, the glaring differences between the problems China accuses America of having (crime, poverty, discrimination etc) and Chinese human rights problems are quite simple to see.

Most of the “human rights” violations America is accused of are people to people abuses. People’s abuse of one another… They are problems of personal attitudes and a lack of values in an individual. The proper laws are in place, but attitudes and values are things that must be taught, instilled and hopefully embraced. They are matters of personal decisions and individual responsibility.

Whereas China’s abuses are perpetrated by the government against the citizens.

China has a hideous record of abusing religious freedoms. Here are a few examples to ponder: China Aid Radio Free China
Committee for the Investigation on Persecution of Religion in China

Laogai Research Foundation

Compass Direct
There are many other sources easily found on the Internet that reinforce my point.

One has to wonder where are all the liberals and where is the UN? We hear so much about prisoner abuse in Iraq associated with the War on Terror, what about torture, murder, rape and imprisonment for worshiping God?

Sorry China, that dog won’t hunt..

As China gets closer to their big Olympic circus in 2008, if this blogger is still around, expect me to be howling much more about it.. In the mean time, we’ll just keep on praying, sending money to buy Bibles for Chinese Christians and doing what we can to get the word out.
