Feel The Tremors

Do you remember the first tremors, the first visible cracks in the foundation? Much was going on far away from public view, certainly many will never get credit for their contribution. Nevertheless, they were shaking the foundations chipping away at the oppressors.

I'm remembering the breakdown and collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe. I was a young GI stationed in Western Germany in 1968. We were placed on alert in late August of 68 as the Communist armies rolled into Prague Czechoslovakia. The armies were there to crush an attempt by the Czech's to taste their own freedom.

It was heartbreaking.. I'll never forget feeling helplessness as the Czechs were forced to face reality, it was them against an overwhelming power. They surrendered to the Soviet Block troops. The dream of freedom remained a dream.

I also remember watching on the television with tears in my eyes as the Communists surrendered to them. It was December 9, 1989, in a revolution later called - "The Velvet Revolution."

The world watched as freedom swept across Eastern Europe, the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet Union disintegrated.

In the late 1970's who would have ever dreamed that within one generation Poland would leave the Warsaw Pact and join NATO? They would have called you crazy..

Those former Soviet Block countries are still finding their way, working it out, building on their dream.

This brings us to today..Those tremors are felt again, cracks are becoming visible. This time it's the Middle East. Freedom is afoot.

Afghanistan, Iraq, the changes are coming here and there almost under the radar screen. The very latest tremor came from Egypt, Egypt Leader Allows Opposition on Ballot by Tanalee Smith
Associated Press writer at AP Network News
. It seems President Hosni Mubarak is trying to get on the right side of this thing. It's a good start, there’s a long way to go but the tremor was felt.

FrontPageMagazine.com has a terrific article Bush's Vision and Leftist Myopia written by Paul Kengor
professor of political science at Grove City College. As I stated earlier, freedom isn't going to happen over night. But I believe there is reason for hope, people do long to be free. Freedom for them is a more secure world for us all.

Keep your eyes on the Middle East, watch for the cracks and feel the tremors.

Here’s an interesting article about Peter Jennings, Anchor and Senior Editor of ABC Television's World News Tonight with
Peter Jennings
It was written for DiscoverTheNetwork.Org. The article provides a deep look into Peter's very leftist view of the world. You may ask yourself why a person with such anti-American views would choose to live in the USA. Perhaps it's greed. Pete doesn't do badly for a guy with a 10th grade education. Only in America..can you say thank you Pete?

Spread Freedom or Jihad

Poll shows doubts over Bush democracy push

Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush is calling on European leaders to support his campaign to spread democracy abroad at a time people in many of those countries have doubts whether that should be the U.S. role in the world, Associated Press polling found.
A majority of people in Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain said they thought it should not be the U.S. role to spread democracy, according to AP-Ipsos polls. A majority of those living in Canada, Mexico and South Korea also disagreed with that role.

Here’s the rest of the story from the SOUTHOFBOSTON.COM …..

It’s amazing, what credibility do these people have? Weren’t these many of the same voices that were declaring Iraq would never hold elections. All we heard was “quagmire” “it won’t work” “blood bath” and on and on as they hoped for an American failure. With Afghanistan having had free elections and Iraq well on their way to democracy, one would think the naysayers might pipe down a bit.

It appears that many would rather see Bush and Company fail even at the expense of freedom and a better life for others.

I say, let them complain, voice their opinions in pointless polls, it’s all they have. They’re still wrong. It doesn’t matter how many believe something, it doesn’t make it true. The entire world believed the earth was flat for hundreds of years. It didn’t make it so.

This war against the radical Islamic terrorists will not be over soon, but we have reason to be optimistic. Someday the rest of the world will wake up and realize Bush was right and he did the right thing. It may well be to late for many of those now so outspoken in the polls, when they do wake up.

Perhaps it will be their children paying for the shortsightedness of the parents today.

I know I support our troops and our President. It thrills my heart to see people tasting their freshly won freedom whoever and wherever they might be.

Thanks to AP

Jesus Land to Chairman Howie: Can you hear us?

Can you hear us Chairman Howie? Can you hear us?

“ For here
Am I sitting on the Left Wing
Far above the world
Planet Earth isn’t blue
And there's nothing I can do”

Can you hear us Chairman Howie? Can you hear us?

When DNC Chairman Howie Dean looks at Jesus Land he gets so angry he sees red. That really makes him mad, seeing red. He hates it.

That word HATE is a strong emotional word, I think it is used too often. Like the word LOVE, HATE gets over worked. You know what I mean, “ I love that color” “I hate it when my coffee gets cold”

This is what a look-up at Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary tells us about hate:
Pronunciation: 'hAt
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English hete; akin to Old High German haz hate, Greek kEdos care
1 a : intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury b : extreme dislike or antipathy : LOATHING

Well, Chairman Howie Dean has stated that he wants to reach out to the Evangelicals. He wants to reach out to Christians and other faiths, he doesn’t think that America realizes people of faith are in the Democratic Party. Where in the world would America get that idea, from the Democratic leadership?

Here’s a great article by Tony Carnes from Christianity Today called Dean Vows to Reach Evangelicals as Democratic Leader

It’s my belief that many Christians are Republicans, Evangelicals certainly lean Right.
A couple of weeks ago the new DNC chairman was heard to say of those of the other major political flavor (93% of them are Christians):

"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for."

You hate us Howie, you said you did. I don’t think anyone will be fooled by your reaching out.

Howie, don’t bother to reach out, it’s a better idea to try and catch up. You see Howie, America has moved on and you’ve said too much.
You can live in Jesus Land Howie, really you’re welcome here. Just give the hate thing a rest. With all the hate and divisiveness your team generated during the last election cycle didn’t you learn a thing?

“ For here
Am I sitting on the Left Wing
Far above the world
Planet Earth isn’t blue
And there's nothing I can do”

Can you hear us Chairman Howie? Can you hear us?

I want to ask David Bowie to forgive me for the hack job I did on his popular tune of days gone by Space Oddity. Sorry David…..

Chief Ward Churchill, Not So Far Off The Reservation?

The plot thickens as this tale unwinds... What at first blush appeared to be just another zany left fringe malcontent is now getting a second look.

The lunatic anti-American ranting of this Native American wannabe seems to have much more support than most people would imagine. It’s frightening to think that others share his brand of warped reasoning.

Read this FrontPageMagazine.com article by Joel Mowbray about how deep this well really is turning out to be. It’s truly amazing.

The Ward Churchill Money Trail

Thanks for the excellent research Joel. It’s time to ask some question.

If you are still in the mood to track Chief Churchill, read what Ann Coulter has to say about him in Not Crazy Horse, Just Crazy. Again, Ann’s not mincing any words.

Thanks again to FrontPageMagazine.com

The Angry Radical Left :>)

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Romans 12:15

The Democratic National Committee has chosen a new Chairman. Howard Dean is their man. The Dems are rejoicing, Howard is rejoicing and I’m rejoicing just like I’m told to do in Romans 12:15.

I couldn’t be happier for them!!

The Right was given an inexhaustible source of material for every purpose. The humor, the irony, the bizarre, all the sideshow quality stuff will be presented to them on a platter. I almost feel guilty for sharing in the Left’s rejoicing, but I’m going to indulge despite those little pangs of guilt.

It feels so good to see the Angry Left at last beginning to come out of their shell. We’re getting to see the real them. (I know, I know, this is no revelation, you knew the “real them” a long time ago.)

Isn’t it fun to watch the Left as they come out of the closet? What a bunch of zanies they are.

They’re like sore thumbs sticking out in the real world. So very vocal and on the wrong side of nearly everything, the Angry Left is the Right Wing’s greatest asset.

Thank you for your help Teddy, Howard, Nancy, Barb, Hanoi Johnny and Chief Churchill, keep up the great work.

We’re all rejoicing, maybe for different reasons, but we’re all rejoicing!

Click on the these links to read about a couple of these dandies.

Howie, the Scream Dean and Chief Churchill, more on the Chief

Thanks to David Holman from the American Spectator, Ann Coulter at Town Hall and the World Net Daily.
