The "C" Word

It’s amazing how America has changed in our lifetime. This business concerning Christmas and the desire for political correctness is absolutely silly. We now talk about the “C” word. It is as if Christmas is something evil and we shouldn’t discuss it in polite company.

I don’t want to keep beating the same drum but Christians and Christianity are woven deeply into this nation’s fabric. If it weren’t for the Christian foundation, only God knows what we would be as a people.

This is America and we have the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion, they are our rights. Those rights belong to us all, even the Christians.

We are involved in a war and the enemy is determined to subject all of us “infidels” to their brand of government and religion. We have plenty of critics of the war, “we should have done this, we should have done that.” “We should bring the troops home.” “We should send more troops.” Lots of advice and most of it’s free and worth about that much too. If we’re honest, most of the advice and criticism is just about taking another shot at President Bush. No regard is given to the damage that is being done to troop morale or to the encouragement given to the enemy.

If the critics would only take a moment to look into the face of what we’re fighting they might have less to say.

During the Clinton Administration America was subjected to the embarrassment of having a president that was morally bankrupt. Slick Willie was the brunt of countless jokes worldwide related to his philandering. Many Americans were rightfully outraged by the disgrace. Remember the standard line from the Clinton apologists? “What he does in his private life is his business!”
Well, it was Hillary’s business too, and America’s. Bill’s pretty much left the scene and hopefully Hillary and his heart surgery have curbed his philandering.

Take a long look at this photo, this is what happens to females accused of infidelity in the world of radical Islam. Read Hajieh’s story. This is the work of the enemy that we are facing, this is what the liberation of Iraq is about. Where is the liberal outrage? Where are the defenders of women’s rights? Where is the ACLU?
You know where they are, they’re harassing, whining and threatening to sue over some kids in a third grade class singing “Silent Night” at a school program. Scared of the “C” word? Take another look at that photo…take a minute to send an email to khatami@president.ir and protest the cruel inhumanity.

Do you know what Jesus would do to that woman? It’s the Christian thing to do.. Oops, there’s that “C” word again.

John 8:5-11
5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

8:9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

8:11 "No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Simply; you are forgiven, now go and sin no more....

Faith Freedom has an interesting web site. I certainly don't agree with all that is written there, but much of it is very enlightening.

Why Won't N.O.W. Defend Maligned Females Worldwide?

By J. Grant Swank, Jr.
"She’s an Iranian teen used by her mother as a prostitute during pre-teen years.
Today she, teen-ager but with a mental age of eight, will be killed by the government unless a miracle happens. She faces the death penalty on charges of prostitution.
(Four months ago, another mentally ill female was accused of having sex outside marriage. She was hung.)
Leyla M, a name given the teen, sits in a prison cell. The Supreme Court mulls over the charges against her: "acts contrary to chastity.” Females who are nine years old can be executed for such a crime. Males cannot be executed for such unless they are 15 or older.
According to reporter Angus McDowall in Tehran, the teen girl was coerced to be a prostitute by her mother, set out for sex when only eight. She was raped repeatedly. She had a child at age nine. She became the merchandise for numerous pimps, bearing several more children, according to Amnesty International.
"’The first time I was taken to a man's house by my mum I was eight. It was a horrible night and I cried a lot but then my mum came the next day and took me home. She bought me chocolate and cheese curls.’"
Iranian media informs that Leyla "was charged with controlling a brothel, having sex with blood relatives and bearing an illegitimate child."
This is common in Iran. For instance, another female, Atefeh Rajabi, was put to death in August. The judge tied the rope around her neck. She begged for life but to no avail.
One wonders why the feminists worldwide don’t rise up in alarm to push these atrocities into past history once and for all. Instead, such organizations such as the National Organization for Women continue to champion their own death causes: killing off the unborn, killing off the traditional family, killing off masculinity, killing off Christian morals, killing off one nation after another.
Why then would anyone expect NOW to defend Iranian females who are sent to the gallows because males have trumped up charges against them after a host of men have mutilated their bodies? So NOW continues its death march while females in that agency permit females to be maligned globally, particularly by Muslim males.
Muslim males have little or no regard for females. Females are less than cattle. They must shield their bodies so that the world can never see them, can never know their identities. If their ankles show to the displeasure of a male, he may beat her. How many female Muslims have been led to soccer stadiums for a male to pull a trigger, setting loose a bullet into the woman’s head? Countless.
Therefore, Leyla is sadly only one example of the atrocities committed against Muslim females.
Islam is obviously the devil’s religion, manufactured in hell and propagated by the demons’ emissaries worldwide. If the nations of the planet don’t wake up, all will be consumed by Muslim hatred and murdering males. The terrorists making the news are simply the tip of the Muslim iceberg."

The war must be fought and freedom must be the victor.

A Christmas Note

Warm Christmas Season greetings from Fundamentally Right.

Promises, promises, promises, exaggerated claims and half- truths,
life is full of them! We get those promises all the time, everywhere, promises, promises… “Why promise what can’t be delivered? Tell me like it really is. It may not make me happy but at least I’ll know where I stand.” Have you ever felt that way? Me too. “Tell me the truth, I think I can take it.”

The Bible is full of promises isn’t it? Do you believe them? I like the one about eternal life; I really like that one.

One of the things that attract me most to Jesus is His way of straight talking. Jesus is loving, kind, forgiving and compassionate but He doesn’t mince words. Jesus tells it like it is. What He says isn’t always what I want to hear, but it’s what I need to hear.

“In this world you will have trouble”, Jesus said that in John 16:33. Please don’t say that, we don’t want to hear that! How about “In this world your life will be trouble-proof”? Yes, that’s more like it, trouble-proof. We can live with that. Promise me that!

Ah, but Jesus never promised “trouble-proof” in this life (Heaven, now that’s another story). There seems to be no shortage of trouble and Christians have their share of it.

Trouble cares little for Christmas; it doesn’t take a holiday. Christmas will be different in our nation again this year. In post 9/11 with the war and increasing persecution of Christians around the world, it’s different. I think we all are feeling it. Precious things have been lost but precious things have been found too. Christmas will be different but the Christ of Christmas will be the same. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

That straight talking Jesus didn’t stop with “you will have trouble”. He went on to say “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” So be encouraged, God is in control despite the troubles. Jesus is still the Prince of Peace, let Him speak peace to your heart.

Take time this Christmas season to worship Jesus, the promised gift of God. Spend a little extra time with those you love, enjoy Christmas. Jesus the true promise keeper has it all in control.

Have a Merry Christmas

John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

"[T]his hyper-sensitivity to religious minorities requires gross insensitivity to America's majority religion. You know, the one that begins with a 'C.' Since at least 9 out of 10 taxpayers are Christians, they foot the bill for a public education system on a search-and-destroy mission against even the mildest expressions of their holidays. America was founded by Christians and based on Judeo-Christian values. The signers of the Declaration of Independence and drafters of the Constitution all were Christians -- not Buddhists, or Wiccans or Zoroastrians. Were it not for Protestant Christianity, we wouldn't have limited government, separation of powers, a Bill of Rights or religious tolerance. In short, without Christians, the United States of America would not exist. Even in an age when traditional religion is driven underground, our currency still says 'One nation under God' -- not one nation under Allah or Shiva. On January 22nd, like all of his predecessors, George W. Bush will take the oath of office on a Bible that tells the story of the Nativity." --Don Feder

"The Supreme Court spread the contagion [of hostility to free religious exercise] through a series of bumbling and incoherent First Amendment cases, and the plague has ripped through the nation's intellectual elites, most of whom equate religious _expression to fascist incitement. That's a curious twist, since the only thing protecting the American political system from fascism is religion itself. Here's why: faith supplies the essential ingredient for individual liberty -- and that ingredient is virtue. If people can agree upon basic moral precepts, they don't have to waste time watching their backs for Hobbesian treachery; they can proceed with some confidence that their persons, property and lawful actions are safe from assault. To put it in another way, when societies drive out God, somebody always moves swiftly to fill the vacuum -- and that somebody inevitably is a person or government that attempts to exercise irrevocable authority over its 'flock.' It is no accident that Hitler, Lenin, Pol Pot and other butchers of note took special pains early in their despotic careers to suppress religion and undermine the traditional family. Theophobes would find such a characterization truly horrifying, but it's true. This explains why theophobia -- while popular in faculty lounges, journalism seminars and Hollywood bacchanals -- has not and probably never will attract a public following of any appreciable influence or size." --Tony Snow

"If John McCain had his way the federal government would control every phase of our lives from our political system to our sports. Which is why, Republican or not, I wouldn't vote for him for president if he were the only person running. McCain, who inflicted the notorious McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform measure on the nation, thus bringing about the rise of the 527 political organizations, now wants to control organized baseball. He is threatening to introduce legislation that would ban the use of muscle-building, performance-enhancing steroids. Somebody should introduce legislation banning McCain. Now, I don't approve of athletes using steroids. I think it is cheating. I think it warps the record book. I think it is wrong. But I approve even less of government, including the Congress, butting in where it doesn't belong. And it sure as heck doesn't have any business regulating how baseball is played, by whom it is played and under what conditions it is played, and what legal substances a player can ingest. The steroid problem is baseball's problem, it is not the problem of the federal government." --Lyn Nofziger

Thanks to the Federalist Patriot for the above quotes….

Now Senator McCain claims he has no confidence in Rumsfield.

I guess my confidence in the Senator isn’t very great either…

Have a Happy What ?

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionist, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom to worship here.”

Patrick Henry

Are you just a bit weary of the rewriting of American history?
I believe I’ve about had it with “Happy Holidays,” “Holiday Trees,” winter solstice and “Seasons Greetings” and the rest of the thin soup, non-offensive tripe.

They are Christmas carols, Christmas trees and “Merry Christmas” wishes. If Patrick Henry was right, and we know he was, America should be more than happy to celebrate Christmas.

If you’re seeking religious freedom, come to America, you will find asylum here. How is it possible? America is a Christian nation and Christians are tolerant and freedom loving.

There should be respect for Christians and their faith by those that don’t chose to embrace it. The very laws that protect the unbelievers are based upon Christian principles. It’s time to pull the plug on the nonsense perpetrated by the ACLU and other anti-Christian, anti-American organizations. It is costing precious time and money to defend against the unrelenting assault on Christianity by these leftist groups.

I commend the “Public Advocate of the United States” for their efforts in the fight to defend America. The World Net Daily has posted a couple of excellent articles lately pertaining to the ACLU. Link to them here:

View From The North Coast Of Jesus Land

Still here in Jesus Land. It feels like the beginnings of winter here on the north coast of Jesus Land. It’s difficult to explain but winter takes me by surprise every year. No matter what I tell myself, I can never seem to be mentally prepared for winter. After you have seen a few winters, you realize that winter comes every year and stays until at least spring. Just deal with it.

This is a photo I took of the north coast of Jesus Land this past summer. It’s easy to identify this as a photo of Jesus Land. Notice that even the old lighthouse and breakwall are on the right. Coincidence? I think not…

North Coast of Jesus Land Posted by Hello

There’s a lot of history here in this part of Ohio but that's a subject for another time.

Michael Ledeen a contributing editor for National Review Online wrote a column that appeared yesterday titled “The End of the Left’s History.” Ledeen really nails it. I believe if I was a liberal, I’d be rethinking my position.

Sadly, the problem with the left today is they are not spending their time rethinking their position. They are wasting their time rethinking their sales program. They still believe their failures are in marketing. It’s not the marketing, it’s the product that is the problem. The sales department did an excellent job of getting the liberal message out. It’s just that fewer and fewer people want what they’re trying to sell.

Jesus Land

Fundamentally Right…that’s what you need to be basically, essentially, right.

I believe that on November 2nd, 2004 America got it right. The re-election of George W. Bush was an answer to the hopes and prayers of many. The reaction of the left was instant, outrageous and rumbles on and on today. The lashing out at the “religious right” as if they were to blame for the left’s failure was a hoot.

It was as if suddenly on November 2nd a new nation was formed, a land of loonies. Michael Moore branded the nation “Jesus Land.” Where did these Christians get the nerve to come out and vote? Where did they all come from? What’s more, who do they think they are?

Moore authored a book last year; the title asked this question;
“Dude, Where’s My Country?” Michael, let me tell you Dude, Jesus Land is your country. It’s like before November 2nd Jesus Land was almost invisible. One of the things you drive past everyday on the way to work, but you never see it. It must have blended into the peripheral blur. But you know, it was there all the time, unseen until it was pointed out.

America is Jesus Land. America’s been Jesus Land for a very long time. Liberals tend to be frightened and offended by the idea of America being Jesus Land, but that doesn’t change a thing.

Having been a Christian for nigh on to three decades, I just don’t understand the left’s fear of Christianity. The real beauty of Christianity is the freedom it gives. Everyone wants to be free don’t they? Only through Christ can one truly be set free. Ah, but so many are comfortable with their chains of bondage, they don’t even know that there is freedom. They never conceived of life without the chains.

No, Christians and Christianity should cause no fear to the left. Even the Christian’s message is called the Gospel. Gospel simply means Good News, it’s a message of freedom and freedom is good news.

So, from here in the heart of all that red let me state it clear….if you’re blue we’re reaching out to you..
